Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air Launch "Spring On These Deals" Fare Sale

SEATTLE — Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air have launched a major fare sale with
one-way fares starting at $49 for flights between West Coast destinations and $99 for Mexico flights. "Spring on These Deals" sale fares are available at alaskaair.com and horizonair.com or by calling (800) ALASKAAIR. Customers must purchase tickets by Jan. 31, 2008, and travel by May 8, 2008.
One-way sale fares start as low as $49 between Portland, Ore., and Reno, Nev.; $59 between Portland and Oakland, Calif.; $69 between Los Angeles and Santa Rosa, Calif.; $77 between Seattle and San Francisco; $89 between Seattle and Denver; $98 between Portland and Vancouver, British Columbia; and $99 between Seattle and Los Angeles. One-way fares to Mexico start as low as $99 between Los Angeles and Los Cabos. Sample fares are listed below.

Tickets are not refundable and cannot be transferred. Tickets can be changed for a $50 per-person change fee plus any applicable changes in fare and taxes. Standby for earlier or later flights on the same day as originally scheduled is allowed with no additional charge. Open tickets and wait-listing are not permitted. All fares are quoted in U.S. dollars. Seats are limited for these special fares and may not be available on all flights or on all days. Tickets must be purchased by Jan. 31, 2008, and travel must be completed by May 8, 2008. Reservations must be made at least 14 days prior to outbound departure date for travel within the United States and Canada. There is no advance purchase requirement for flights to or from Mexico. For flights within the United States and Canada, tickets must be purchased within 24 hours of making a reservation and at least 14 days prior to departure. For travel to or from Mexico, tickets must be purchased within 24 hours of making a reservation. The following blackout dates apply: March 28-30, and April 4-6 and 11-13. Fares are subject to change without notice. Taxes and fees are based on one-way travel and may be double if traveling round-trip. Other restrictions apply. Passengers are responsible for the following taxes and fees, as applicable: Airport Passenger Facility Charges of up to $9 (amount depends on itinerary), Federal Segment Tax of $3.50 per segment (takeoff and landing) and U.S. Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement. Additionally to Mexico: U.S. Immigration User Fee of $7, U.S. Aphis Fee of $5, U.S. International Transportation Tax of $15.40, Mexico International Departure Tax of up to $32 (fluctuates with exchange rate), and Mexico Tourism Tax of up to $22 (fluctuates with exchange rate). Additionally to Canada: U.S. Immigration User Fee of $7, U.S. Aphis Fee of $5, Canadian Airport Improvement Fee up to $15 (varies by airport), Canadian Security Fee of $9 (fluctuates with exchange rate) and Canadian Goods and Services Tax of less than $2 (varies by airport).
