Alaska Air Group Reports November Operational Results

SEATTLE — Alaska Air Group, Inc. (NYSE: ALK) today reported November operational results for its subsidiaries, Alaska Airlines (Alaska) and Horizon Air (Horizon).
ALASKA AIRLINES
Alaska reported a 15.5 percent increase in traffic on a 9.9 percent increase in capacity, resulting in a 4.1-point increase in load factor to 83.9 percent. Alaska also reported that 82.5 percent of its flights arrived on time in November 2010, a 5.7-point decrease compared to the 88.2 percent reported in November 2009.

HORIZON AIR
Horizon
reported a 2.0 percent decline in traffic on a 6.8 percent decline in
capacity compared to November 2009, resulting in a 3.7-point increase in
load factor to 76.3 percent. Horizon also reported that 70.9 percent of its
flights arrived on time in November 2010, a 16.6-point decrease compared to
the 87.5 percent reported in November 2009. Horizon’s on-time performance
was negatively impacted by significant winter weather in the Pacific
Northwest during the last eleven days of November.
