For Frugal Travelers: Horizon Air Getaways and Kids Fly Free Offer

SEATTLE — Horizon Air today unveiled Horizon Air Getaways, new economical vacation packages to several popular destinations the airline serves. Packages include airfare on Horizon and Alaska Airlines, a variety of lodging choices, and several additional options (e.g., car rentals, spa treatments, lift tickets and other features that vary by destination).
Initially, there will be year-round Horizon Air Getaways packages to:
* Sedona and the Grand Canyon (via Flagstaff or Prescott, Ariz.).
* Santa Barbara, Calif.
* Sonoma County and Napa Valley wine country (via Santa Rosa, Calif.).
* Lake Tahoe, Calif. (via Reno).
* Central Oregon/Mt. Bachelor (via Redmond/Bend).
* Sun Valley, Idaho.
The Lake Tahoe, Mt. Bachelor, and Sun Valley packages include options for ski/snowboarding-oriented winter sports activities.
Horizon is also offering ski season packages to California's Mammoth Mountain Resort via nonstop service from Los Angeles (LAX) to Mammoth Yosemite Airport, from Dec. 18, 2008, to April 12, 2009.

For a limited time, Horizon is also offering a Kids Fly Free package to the Grand Canyon and Sun Valley. When a qualifying Horizon Air Getaways package is purchased, kids between 2 and 11 accompanied by an adult can fly free to Flagstaff/Grand Canyon from Jan. 4 to Feb. 28, 2009, and to Sun Valley Jan. 4-30 and March 1-30, 2009. Horizon offers year-round direct flights from Seattle to Sun Valley and ski-season flights from Los Angeles. To Flagstaff (gateway to the Grand Canyon and Sedona), Horizon offers year-round direct flights from Los Angeles.
